EPC Ratings

Most properties in the UK have an EPC (Energy Performance Certificate). If a property doesn’t have one or the certificate has expired, a new EPC will be provided during the survey.

This service can be used to locate existing:

Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs)

Display Energy Certificates (DECs) for public buildings

Air conditioning inspection certificates and reports

The EPC provides a rating of the property’s energy efficiency, ranging from Band A (most efficient) to Band G (least efficient). Under the ECO 4 scheme, qualifying properties are typically rated Band D, E, F, or G.

The EPC register also shows:

The property type

Floor area in square metres

The current EPC band

The current heating source in the property

If a property can be improved by at least two SAP rating bands (e.g. from E to C or F to D), it may be eligible for funding. To achieve this, insulation measures must be completed first, followed by the installation of heating controls.

The EPC will also suggest what energy-saving measures can be installed and estimate the typical annual savings for the customer.

Registered address and company number (for limited companies)
Your Scheme Provider and the trades you are TrustMark registered for

Your business insurance details (provider and indemnity limits)

Your ADR (alternative dispute resolution) provider
